Barometer for Engineers allows the user to obtain a pressure signal from their device and display the signal on the screen.
Different pressure conversions are available on this app and the app starts with the Android default of hPa (HectoPascal). The app allows conversion to kPa (KiloPascal), Pa (Pascal), bar (Bar), torr (Torr), atm (Standard Atmosphere), at (Technical Atmosphere), psi (Pounds per square inch), mmHg (Millimeter of Mercury), and inHg (Inch of Mercury).
This app has an advanced data logging feature to log barometric pressure data to your device. The app allows the user to select a data acquisition rate based on the Android sensor default delays, and then saves the data while the foreground notification is still active. Once the user cancels the notification with the X mark, the service and saving stops.
To Start saving hit the Save image and then to finish saving hit the save image again, or stop the notification with the X image. If you enter in a file name that was previously used the file will append (the previous version of the file will remain and data will be added to it).
Once the data is collected it is stored in a text file with the Universal Time Constant (In Milliseconds!) (UTC), and all pressure units mentioned above.
The file is stored as a CSV and is located in the following location. Path: Android/data/com.rabatah.k.zachariah.barometerandroid/files
Since Android no longer allows access to this folder, the files can be shared to your drive or email via the share option in the files list in the app.
You can use these files on your computer in a spreadsheet program or use the built in graph viewer to grab screenshots of the data via the zooming and cursor features in the graph view.

Permissions Explained:
Photos/Media/Files & Storage Permission - This permission is required in order to save the pressure data to your device. This is a core feature of the app. The only location accessed by the app in your device is the Path indicated earlier in the description, and file access to any other part of your internal storage or sd card is NOT accessed by this app.
