APRS IGate based on javAPRSSrvr. When connected to a Bluetooth KISS TNC, it is a fully functional APRS IGate between Amateur Radio RF and APRS-IS. When connected to a Bluetooth serial port on a D-STAR radio, it is a fully functional DPRS IGate between Amateur Radio D-STAR and APRS-IS.
javAPRSSrvrIGate is also a local (internal) APRS-IS server so it can be used in conjunction with a UI APRS client to provide IGate capabilities to a mapping/messaging APRS client.
This application requires the user to have a valid amateur radio license.
Per APRS-IS specifications, this app accesses your location to create valid posits which are sent to the upstream server (APRS and DPRS) and to the attached TNC (APRS only) every 20 minutes. This is an essential function of IGates to prevent ghost IGates and cannot be disabled.
More setup information can be found on the support website.
